My brother’s band/project thing, which I guess he is now calling Macaw, got written up in DC’s City Paper. I’ve previously recorded 6 songs of his and let me tell you - he’s gonna keep doing special things. This next group of songs, which is being recorded by Hays Holladay, is definitely keepin’ the streak alive.
In other (good) news, a big old box of CDs arrived on my doorstep on Friday. After 2+ years of work, I can’t really tell you how good it feels to hold one in my hand. I paid for them mostly using this:
which is 4 years worth of pocket change. That felt pretty rad too. Thanks to those of you who put a quarter, bottle cap or $100 Monopoly bill in it over the years (I’ll get that banjo yet).
Here’s the cover art of the album:
I’m going to sell them for $7. I’m working on a way to sell it directly on the website, but until that’s worked out if you would like to purchase one, send me an email.
Things really feel like they’re moving forward and picking up steam, so there should be lots of news to come. Subscribe up top or bookmark the site if you want, but most importantly: Stay warm.
